1Moreover,brethren, I declare unto you the gospelwhich I preached unto you,whichalso ye have received , andwhereinyestand ;
2Bywhichalso ye are saved , if ye keepa in memory whatIpreached unto you, unlessye have believed in vain.3For I delivered unto you first of allthatwhichIalsoreceived , how that Christdiedforoursinsaccording to the scriptures;4Andthat he was buried , andthat he rose again the thirddayaccording to the scriptures:5Andthat he was seen of Cephas, then of the twelve:6
After that, he was seen of above five hundredbrethren at once;ofwhom the greater partremainunto this present, butsomeare fallen asleep .
7
After that, he was seen of James;then of all the apostles.8Andlast of all he was seen of me also,as of one born out of due time.9ForIam the least of the apostles, thatamnotmeet to be called an apostle, because I persecuted the church of God.10But by the grace of God I amwhat I am : andhisgrace which was bestowed uponmewasnot in vain;but I laboured more abundantly than theyall:yetnotI,but the grace of Godwhich was withme.11Thereforewhether it were Iorthey,so we preach , andso ye believed .
12NowifChrist be preachedthat he rosefrom the dead, howsaysomeamongyouthat there isnoresurrection of the dead?13Butif there benoresurrection of the dead, thenisChristnotrisen :
14AndifChristbenotrisen , then is ourpreachingvain,andyourfaithisalsovain.15Yea,and we are found false witnesses of God;because we have testifiedofGodthat he raised upChrist:whom he raisednotup , if so be that the deadrisenot.16Forif the deadrisenot, then isnotChristraised :
17AndifChristbenotraised , yourfaith is vain; ye areyetinyoursins.18Then they also which are fallen asleepinChrist are perished .
19Ifinthislifeonly we have hopeinChrist, we are of allmen most miserable.20ButnowisChristrisenfrom the dead, and become the firstfruits of them that slept .
21Forsincebyman came death, byman came also the resurrection of the dead.22ForasinAdamalldie , evensoinChristshallall be made alive .
23But every manin his ownorder:Christ the firstfruits;afterward they that areChrist'sathiscoming.24Then cometh the end, when he shall have delivered up the kingdom to God,even the Father;when he shall have put downallruleandallauthorityandpower.25Forhemustreign , tillhe hath putallenemiesunderhisfeet.26
The lastenemy that shall be destroyed is death.27For he hath put all thingsunderhisfeet.Butwhen he saith all things are put under him, it is manifestthat he is excepted, which did put all thingsunderhim.28Andwhen all things shall be subdued unto him, thenshall the Sonalsohimself be subject unto him that put all thingsunderhim, thatGod may beallinall.29Elsewhat shall they do which are baptizedfor the dead,if the deadrisenot at all?whyare they then baptizedfor the dead?30Andwhystandwe in jeopardyeveryhour?31
I protest byyourbrejoicingwhich I haveinChristJesusourLord, I diedaily .
32If after the manner of men I have fought with beastsatEphesus, what advantageth itme,if the deadrisenot? let us eatanddrink ; for to morrow we die .
33Benotdeceived : evilcommunicationscorruptgoodmanners.34Awake to righteousness, andsinnot;forsomehave not the knowledge of God: I speak this toyourshame.35Butsome man will say , Howare the dead raised up ? and with whatbody do they come ?
36
Thou fool, that whichthousowestisnotquickened , except it die :
37And that which thou sowest , thou sowestnot that body that shall be , butbaregrain, it may chance of wheat,or of someother grain:
38ButGodgivethit a bodyas it hath pleased him , and to everyseed his ownbody.39Allflesh is not the sameflesh:butthere is one kind of flesh of men , anotherflesh of beasts , another of fishes, andanother of birds.40
There are alsocelestialbodies, andbodiesterrestrial:buttheglory of the celestial is one,and the glory of the terrestrial is another.41
There is oneglory of the sun, andanotherglory of the moon, andanotherglory of the stars:for one star differeth from another staringlory.42Soalso is the resurrection of the dead. It is sownincorruption; it is raisedinincorruption:43
It is sownindishonour; it is raisedinglory: it is sowninweakness; it is raisedinpower:44
It is sown a naturalbody; it is raised a spiritualbody. There is a naturalbody, and there is a spiritualbody.45Andso it is written , The firstmanAdam was made a livingsoul; the lastAdam was made a quickeningspirit.46Howbeit that was notfirst which is spiritual, but that which is natural; and afterward that which is spiritual.47
The firstman is of the earth, earthy: the secondman is the Lordfromheaven.48As is the earthy, such are they also that are earthy:and as is the heavenly, such are theyalso that are heavenly.49Andas we have borne the image of the earthy, we shallalsobear the image of the heavenly.50Nowthis I say , brethren, thatfleshandbloodcannotinherit the kingdom of God;neitherdothcorruptioninheritincorruption.51Behold , I shewyou a mystery; We shallnotallsleep , but we shallall be changed ,
52In a moment,in the twinkling of an eye,at the lasttrump:for the trumpet shall sound , and the dead shall be raisedincorruptible, andwe shall be changed .
53Forthiscorruptiblemust put onincorruption, andthismortal must put onimmortality.54Sowhenthiscorruptible shall have put onincorruption, andthismortal shall have put onimmortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written , Death is swallowed upinvictory.55
O death, where is thysting? O grave, cwhere is thyvictory?56Thesting of death is sin;and the strength of sin is the law.57Butthanks be to God,whichgivethus the victorythroughourLordJesusChrist.58Therefore,mybelovedbrethren, be yestedfast, unmoveable, alwaysaboundingin the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye knowthatyourlabourisnot in vainin the Lord.
