Unto Timothy, my ownsonin the faith:Grace,mercy, and peace,fromGodourFatherandJesusChristourLord.3As I besoughtthee to abide stillatEphesus, when I wentintoMacedonia,that thou mightest chargesome that they teachno other doctrine ,
4Neither give heed to fablesandendlessgenealogies,whichministerquestions,ratherthangodlyedifyingwhich is infaith: so do.
5Now the end of the commandmentischarity out of a pureheart,and of a goodconscience,and of faithunfeigned:6
From whichsome having swerved have turned asideunto vain jangling;7Desiring to be teachers of the law ; understandingneitherwhat they say , norwhereoftheyaffirm .
8But we knowthat the law is good,if a manuseitlawfully;9Knowingthis,that the lawisnotmade for a righteous man,but for the lawlessanddisobedient, for the ungodlyand for sinners, for unholyandprofane, for murderers of fathersand murderers of mothers, for manslayers,
