And there came a voice from heaven, saying, Thou art my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased .
Saying , Let us alone; what have we to do with thee, thou Jesus of Nazareth? art thou come to destroy us? I know thee who thou art , the Holy One of God.
And unclean spirits, when they saw him, fell down before him, and cried , saying , Thou art the Son of God.
And he saith unto them, But whom say ye that I am ? And Peter answereth and saith unto him, Thou art the Christ.
And when they were come , they say unto him, Master, we know that thou art true, and carest for no man: for thou regardest not the person of men, but teachest the way of God in truth: Is it lawful to give tribute to Caesar, or not?
And when Jesus saw that he answered discreetly, he said unto him, Thou art not far from the kingdom of God. And no man after that durst ask him any question.
But he held his peace , and answered nothing. Again the high priest asked him, and said unto him, Art thou the Christ, the Son of the Blessed?
And he denied it again. And a little after, they that stood by said again to Peter, Surely thou art one of them: for thou art a Galilaean, and thy speech agreeth thereto.
And Pilate asked him, Art thou the King of the Jews? And he answering said unto him, Thou sayest it.
