"As in the days when you came out of Egypt, I will show them my wonders.1"
Nations will see and be ashamed,2 deprived of all their power. They will lay their hands on their mouths3 and their ears will become deaf.
They will lick dust4 like a snake, like creatures that crawl on the ground. They will come trembling5 out of their dens; they will turn in fear6 to the LORD our God and will be afraid of you.
Who is a God7 like you, who pardons sin8 and forgives9 the transgression of the remnant10 of his inheritance?11 You do not stay angry12 forever but delight to show mercy.1319
You will again have compassion on us; you will tread our sins underfoot and hurl all our iniquities14 into the depths of the sea.1520
You will be true to Jacob, and show mercy to Abraham,16 as you pledged on oath to our fathers17 in days long ago.18
