11And Davidspoke2the words of thissong to the LORD in the day that the LORDdelivered him from the ahand of all his enemies and from the bhand of Saul.
He said, "3The LORD is my crock and my fortress and my deliverer ;
3d4My God, my rock, in whom I takerefuge, My 5shield and 6the horn of my salvation, my stronghold and 7my refuge ; My savior, You save me from violence.
"I call upon the LORD, 8who is worthy to be praised, And I am saved from my enemies.
"For 9the waves of deathencompassed me; 10The torrents of edestructionfoverwhelmed me;
611The cords of gSheolsurrounded me; The snares of deathconfronted me.
"12In my distress I called upon the LORD, Yes, I hcried to my God ; And from His temple He heard my voice, And my cry for help came into His ears.
"Then 13the earthshook and quaked, 14The foundations of heaven were trembling And were shaken, because He was angry.
9"Smokewent up iout of His nostrils, 15Fire from His mouthdevoured ; 16Coals were kindled by it.
"He bowed the heavens also, and camedown With 17thickdarknessunder His feet.
"18And He rode on a cherub and flew ; And He jappeared on 19the wings of the wind.
"20And He madedarknesskcanopiesaround Him, A mass of waters, thickclouds of the sky.
"From the brightnessbefore Him 21Coals of fire were kindled.
"22The LORDthundered from heaven, And the MostHighuttered His voice.
"23And He sent out arrows, and scattered them, Lightning, and lrouted them.
"Then the channels of the seaappeared, The foundations of the world were mlaidbare By the rebuke of the LORD, 24At the blast of the breath of His nostrils.
"25He sent from on high, He took me; 26He drew me out of manywaters.
"He delivered me from my strongenemy, From those who hated me, for they were toostrong for me.
"They confronted me in the day of my calamity, 27But the LORD was my support.
"28He also brought me forth into a broadplace ; He rescued me, 29because He delighted in me.
"30The LORD has rewarded me according to my righteousness ; 31According to the cleanness of my hands He has recompensed me.
"32For I have kept the ways of the LORD, And have not actedwickedlyagainst my God.
"33For all His ordinances were before me, And as for His statutes, I did not depart from nthem.
"34I was also oblameless toward Him, And I kept myself from my iniquity.
"35Therefore the LORD has recompensed me according to my righteousness, According to my cleannessbefore His eyes.
"36With the pkind You show Yourself qkind, With the rblameless You show Yourself sblameless ;
2737With the pure You show Yourself pure, 38And with the perverted You show Yourself tastute.
"39And You save an afflictedpeople ; 40But Your eyes are on the haughty whom You abase.
"41For You are my lamp, O LORD ; And the LORDillumines my darkness.
"42For by You I can urun upon a troop ; By my God I can leap over a wall.
"43As for God, His way is vblameless ; 44The word of the LORD is tested ; 45He is a shield to all who takerefuge in Him.
"46For who is God, besides the LORD ? 47And who is a rock, besides our God ?
"48God is my strongfortress ; And He wsets the xblameless in yHis way.
"49He makeszmy feet like hinds' feet, 50And sets me on my highplaces.
"51He trains my hands for battle, 52So that my arms can bend a bow of bronze.
"You have also given me 53the shield of Your salvation, And Your aahelpmakes me great.
"54You enlarge my stepsunder me, And my bbfeet have not slipped.
"I pursued my enemies and 55destroyed them, And I did not turnbackuntil they were consumed.
"And I have devoured them and shattered them, so that they did not rise ; And 56they fellunder my feet.
"For You have girded me with strength for battle ; You have ccsubduedunder me 57those who rose up against me.
"You have also 58made my enemiesturn their backs to me, And I dddestroyed those who hated me.
"59They looked, but there was none to save ; 60Even to the LORD, but He did not answer them.
"61Then I pulverized them as the dust of the earth ; 62I crushed and stamped them as the mire of the streets.
"63You have also delivered me from the contentions of my people ; 64You have kept me as head of the nations ; 65A people whom I have not knownserve me.
"66Foreignerspretendobedience to me; As soon as they hear , they obey me.
46"Foreignerseeloseheart, 67And ffcometrembling out of their ggfortresses.
"The LORDlives, and blessed be my rock ; And exalted be hh68God, the rock of my salvation,
4869The God who executesvengeance for me, 70And bringsdownpeoplesunder me,
Who also brings me out from my enemies ; You even lift me above71those who rise up against me; 72You rescue me from the violentman.
"73Therefore I will givethanks to You, O LORD, among the nations, And I will singpraises to Your name.
"74He is a tower of iideliverance to His king, And 75showslovingkindness to His anointed, 76To David and his jjdescendantsforever ."
