"I havemanymorethings to say to you, but you cannot*bear them now.

"But when He, 2the Spirit of truth, comes, He will 3guide you into all the truth; for He will not speak on His owninitiative, but whatever He hears, He will speak; and He will disclose to you what is to come.

"He will 4glorify Me, for He will take of Mine and will disclose it to you.

"5Allthings that the Fatherhas are Mine; therefore* I said that He takes of Mine and will disclose it to you.

16"6A littlewhile, and 7you will nolongersee Me; and again a littlewhile, and 8you will see Me."

Some of His disciplesthensaid to oneanother, "What is thisthing He is telling us, '9A littlewhile, and you will not see Me; and again a littlewhile, and you will see Me'; and, 'because10I go to the Father '?"

So they were saying, "What is this that He says, 'A littlewhile '? We do not knowwhat He is talking about."

11Jesusknew that they wished to question Him, and He said to them, "Are you deliberatingtogether*aboutthis, that I said, 'A littlewhile, and you will not see Me, and again a littlewhile, and you will see Me'?

"Truly, truly, I say to you, that 12you will weep and lament, but the world will rejoice; you will grieve, but 13your grief will be turned into joy.

"14Whenever a woman is in labor she haspain, because her hour has come; but when she givesbirth to the child, she nolongerremembers the anguishbecause of the joy that a child has been born into the world.
