But when the multitudessaw it, they marvelled, andglorifiedGod,which had givensuchpower unto men.

And asJesus passed forth from thence, he saw a man,namedMatthew,sittingat the receipt of custom:and he saith unto him,Followme.And he arose, and followedhim.

And it came to pass, as Jesus sat at meatin the house*, behold, manypublicansandsinnerscame and sat down with himandhisdisciples.

And when the Phariseessaw it, they said unto hisdisciples,WhyeatethyourMasterwithpublicansandsinners?

But when Jesusheard that, he said unto them,They that bewholeneednot a physician,but they that aresick.

But go ye and learnwhat that meaneth, I will have mercy,andnotsacrifice:for I amnotcome to call the righteous,butsinnerstorepentance.

Thencame to him the disciples of John,saying, Why do weand the Phariseesfastoft,butthydisciplesfastnot?

AndJesussaid unto them,Can* the children of the bridechambermourn, as long asthebridegroomiswiththem?but the days will come, when the bridegroom shall be takenfromthem,andthen shall they fast.

Nomanputteth a piece of new[a]clothunto an oldgarment,for that which is put in to fill it uptaketh*from the garment,and the rent is madeworse.

Neither do men putnewwineintooldbottles:[b]else the bottlesbreak, and the wine runneth out, and the bottlesperish: but they putnewwineintonewbottles,andboth are preserved.

While hespake these things unto them,behold, there came a certainruler, and worshippedhim,saying*, Mydaughter is even nowdead: butcome and laythyhanduponher,and she shall live.

AndJesusarose, and followedhim,and so did hisdisciples.

And,behold, a woman, which was diseased with an issue of bloodtwelveyears,camebehind him, and touched the hem of hisgarment:

For she saidwithinherself,If I maybuttouchhisgarment, I shall be whole.

ButJesus turned him about, and when he sawher, he said, Daughter, be of good comfort; thyfaith hath madetheewhole.And the woman was made wholefromthathour.

And when Jesuscameinto the ruler'shouse,andsaw the minstrelsand the people making a noise,

He said unto them,Give place: for the maidisnotdead, butsleepeth.And they laughedhim to scorn.

Butwhen the people were put forth, he went in, and tookher by the hand,and the maidarose.
26
And the fame[c]hereof went abroadintoallthatland.
27
And when Jesusdepartedthence,two blind menfollowedhim,crying, andsaying, Thou Son of David, have mercy on us.
28
And when he was comeinto the house, the blind mencame to him:andJesussaith unto them,Believe yethat I am able to dothis? They said unto him,Yea,Lord.
