96:1-13pp -- 1Ch 16:23-33

1 Sing to the LORD 1 a new song;2 sing to the LORD, all the earth. 2 Sing to the LORD, praise his name;3 proclaim his salvation4 day after day. 3 Declare his glory5 among the nations, his marvelous deeds6 among all peoples. 4 For great is the LORD and most worthy of praise;7 he is to be feared8 above all gods.9 5 For all the gods of the nations are idols,10 but the LORD made the heavens.11 6 Splendor and majesty12 are before him; strength and glory13 are in his sanctuary. 7 Ascribe to the LORD,14 O families of nations,15 ascribe to the LORD glory and strength. 8 Ascribe to the LORD the glory due his name; bring an offering16 and come into his courts.17 9 Worship the LORD 18 in the splendor of hisa holiness;19 tremble20 before him, all the earth.21 10 Say among the nations, "The LORD reigns.22" The world is firmly established,23 it cannot be moved;24 he will judge25 the peoples with equity.26 11 Let the heavens rejoice,27 let the earth be glad;28 let the sea resound, and all that is in it; 12 let the fields be jubilant, and everything in them. Then all the trees of the forest29 will sing for joy;30 13 they will sing before the LORD, for he comes, he comes to judge31 the earth. He will judge the world in righteousness32 and the peoples in his truth.33
