Do not withhold your mercy1 from me, O LORD; may your love2 and your truth3 always protect4 me.
For troubles5 without number surround me; my sins have overtaken me, and I cannot see.6 They are more than the hairs of my head,7 and my heart fails8 within me.
Be pleased, O LORD, to save me; O LORD, come quickly to help me.914
May all who seek to take my life10 be put to shame and confusion;11 may all who desire my ruin12 be turned back in disgrace.
May those who say to me, "Aha! Aha!"13 be appalled at their own shame.
But may all who seek you14 rejoice and be glad15 in you; may those who love your salvation always say, "The LORD be exalted!"1617
Yet I am poor and needy;17 may the Lord think18 of me. You are my help19 and my deliverer;20 O my God, do not delay.21
