Do not cast me1 from your presence2 or take your Holy Spirit3 from me.
Restore to me the joy of your salvation4 and grant me a willing spirit,5 to sustain me.613
Then I will teach transgressors your ways,7 and sinners8 will turn back to you.914
Save me10 from bloodguilt,11 O God, the God who saves me,12 and my tongue will sing of your righteousness.1315
O Lord, open my lips,14 and my mouth will declare your praise.
You do not delight in sacrifice,15 or I would bring it; you do not take pleasure in burnt offerings.
The sacrifices16 of God area a broken spirit; a broken and contrite heart,17 O God, you will not despise.
In your good pleasure make Zion18 prosper; build up the walls of Jerusalem.1919
Then there will be righteous sacrifices,20 whole burnt offerings21 to delight you; then bulls22 will be offered on your altar.
