31 Zhìyú shén , tāde dào shì wánquán de . Yēhéhuá de huà shì liàn jìng de . fán tóukào tāde , tā biàn zuò tāmende dùnpái .

32 Chúle Yēhéhuá , shuí shì shén ne . chúle wǒmen de shén , shuí shì pánshí ne .

33 Shén shì wǒ jiāngù de bǎo zhàng . tā yǐndǎo wánquán rén xíng tāde lù .

34 Tā shǐ wǒde jiǎo kuaì rú mǔ lù de tí , yòu shǐ wǒ zaì gāo chù ānwĕn .

35 Tā jiàodǎo wǒde shǒu néng yǐ zhēng zhàn , shènzhì wǒde bǎngbì néng kāi tóng gōng .

36 Nǐ bǎ nǐde jiùēn gĕi wǒ zuò dùnpái . nǐde wēnhé shǐ wǒ wéi dà .

42 Tāmen yǎngwàng , què wú rén zhĕngjiù . jiù shì hū qiú Yēhéhuá , tā yĕ bù yīngyún .

43 Wǒ dǎo suì tāmen , rútóng dì shàng de huī chén , jiàntà tāmen , sì sǎn zaì dì , rútóng jiē shàng de ní tǔ .

44 Nǐ jiù wǒ tuōlí wǒ bǎixìng de zhēngjing , bǎohù wǒ zuò liè guó de yuánshǒu . wǒ sù bú rènshi de mín bì shìfèng wǒ .

45 Waìbāngrén yào tóu jiàng wǒ , yī tīngjian wǒde míngsheng jiù bì shùncóng wǒ .

46 Waìbāngrén yào shuāi cán , zhàn zhàn jīng jīng dì chū tāmende yíng zhaì .

47 Yēhéhuá shì huó shén , yuàn wǒde pánshí beì rén chēngsòng . yuàn shén nà zhĕngjiù wǒde pánshí beì rén zūnchóng .

48 Zhè wèi shén jiù shì nà wèi wǒ shēnyuān , shǐ zhòng mín fú zaì wǒ yǐxià de .

49 Nǐ jiù wǒ tuōlí chóudí , yòu bǎ wǒ jǔqǐ , gāo guō nàxiē qǐlai gōngjī wǒde . nǐ jiù wǒ tuōlí qiángbào de rén .

50 Yēhéhuá a , yīncǐ wǒ yào zaì waì bāng zhōng chēngxiè nǐ , gēsòng nǐde míng .

51 Yēhéhuá cì jí dà de jiùēn gĕi tā suǒ lì de wáng , shī cíaì gĕi tāde shòu gāo zhĕ , jiù shì gĕi Dàwèi hé tāde hòuyì , zhídào yǒngyuǎn .

INTRODUCTION TO SECOND SAMUEL 22

This chapter contains a song or psalm, the same with the eighteenth psalm, and which, according to Jarchi, was composed by David in his old age, and, as Kimchi says, at the end or close of his days; but Abarbinel is of opinion that it was written in his youthful time, in the midst of his troubles, and was sung by him as often as he had a deliverance from any; and which may account for the several variations in it from the eighteenth psalm, which, the same writer observes, are seventy four; and are not to be ascribed to the difference of copies, or neglect of copiers: and very probably, towards the close of his days, he revised it, and made it fit for general use, and sent it with the rest of his psalms to the chief musician; but the particular consideration of it, and of the differences in it from Ps 18:1-50 are referred to the exposition of that book in its course.
