When the peoplethereforesawthatJesuswasnotthere,neitherhisdisciples,theyalsotook*shipping,andcametoCapernaum, seeking forJesus.

And when they had foundhim on the other side of the sea, they said unto him,Rabbi,when camest thouhither?

Jesusansweredthemandsaid, Verily,verily, I say unto you, Ye seekme,notbecause ye saw the miracles,butbecause ye did eatof the loaves,and were filled.

Labournot[a] for the meatwhichperisheth, but for that meatwhichendurethuntoeverlastinglife,which the Son of man shall give unto you:forhimhathGod the Fathersealed.

Then said theyuntohim,What shall we do, that we might work the works of God?

Jesusansweredandsaid unto them,Thisis the work of God,that ye believeonhimwhom he hath sent.

They saidtherefore unto him,Whatsignshewestthouthen,that we may see, andbelievethee?what dost thou work?

Ourfathers did eatmannain the desert;as it iswritten, He gavethembreadfromheaven to eat.

ThenJesussaid unto them,Verily,verily, I say unto you,Mosesgaveyounot that breadfromheaven;butmyFathergivethyou the truebreadfromheaven.

For the bread of God is hewhich cometh downfromheaven,andgivethlife unto the world.

Then said theyuntohim,Lord,evermoregiveusthisbread.

AndJesussaid unto them,Iam the bread of life: he that comethtome shall neverhunger; and he that believethonmeshallnever*thirst.
