Let them therefore,said he, which amongyou are able, go down with me, and accusethisman,if there be any wickednessinhim.

And when he had tarriedamongthemmore[a]thantendays, he went downuntoCaesarea; and the next daysittingon the judgment seatcommandedPaul to be brought.

And when he was come, the Jews which came downfromJerusalem stood round about, andlaidmany and grievouscomplaintsagainstPaul,which they couldnotprove.

While he answered for himself,Neither*against the law of the Jews,neitheragainst the temple, nor yetagainstCaesar, have I offended any thing at all.

ButFestus,willing to do the Jews a pleasure,answeredPaul, and said, Wilt thou go uptoJerusalem, and there be judgedof these thingsbeforeme?

ThensaidPaul, I stand*atCaesar's judgment seat,whereIought to be judged: to the Jews have I donenowrong, as*thou very wellknowest.

ForifI be an offender, or have committed any thingworthy of death, I refusenot to die: butif there benone of these things whereof theseaccuseme, no manmaydeliverme unto them. I appeal untoCaesar.

ThenFestus, when he had conferredwith the council,answered, Hast thou appealed untoCaesar?untoCaesar shalt thou go.

Andwhen they had beentheremanydays,FestusdeclaredPaul'scause unto the king,saying, There is a certainmanleft in bondsbyFelix:

Aboutwhom,whenIwasatJerusalem, the chief priestsand the elders of the Jewsinformed me, desiring to have judgmentagainsthim.
