And as Jesus passed by, he saw a man which was blindfrom his birth.

Andhisdisciplesaskedhim,saying, Master,who did sin, this man,orhisparents,that he was bornblind?

Jesusanswered, Neitherhath this mansinned, norhisparents:butthat the works of God should be made manifestinhim.

Imustwork the works of him that sentme,while it isday: the nightcometh, when no mancanwork.

As long as I amin the world, I am the light of the world.

When he had thusspoken, he spat on the ground,andmadeclayof the spittle,and he anointed[a]* the eyes of the blind man with the clay,

Andsaid unto him,Go, washin the pool of Siloam,* (which is by interpretation, Sent.) He went his waytherefore,andwashed, andcameseeing.

The neighbourstherefore,and they which before had seenhimthat he wasblind,said, Isnotthis he that satandbegged?

Somesaid*, This is he*: otherssaid, He islikehim: but hesaid*, Iam he.

Therefore said they unto him,Howwerethineeyesopened?

Heansweredandsaid, A man that is calledJesusmadeclay,andanointedmineeyes,andsaid unto me,Goto the pool of Siloam,andwash: and I wentandwashed, and I received sight.
