Levítico 23:26-32

O Dia da Expiação

26 Disse o SENHOR a Moisés:

27 “O décimo dia deste sétimo mês é o Dia da Expiação.^[a] Façam uma reunião sagrada e humilhem-se,^[b] e apresentem ao SENHOR uma oferta preparada no fogo.

28 Não realizem trabalho algum nesse dia, porque é o Dia da Expiação, quando se faz propiciação por vocês perante o SENHOR, o Deus de vocês.

29 Quem não se humilhar nesse dia será eliminado do seu povo.

30 Eu destruirei do meio do seu povo todo aquele que realizar algum trabalho nesse dia.

31 Vocês não realizarão trabalho algum. Este é um decreto perpétuo para as suas gerações, onde quer que morarem.

32 É um sábado de descanso para vocês, no qual vocês se humilharão. Desde o entardecer do nono dia do mês até o entardecer do dia seguinte vocês guardarão esse sábado”.

INTRODUCTION TO LEVITICUS 23

In this chapter an account is given of the several holy days, times, and seasons, appointed by God, under the general names of feasts and holy convocations; and first of the sabbath, Le 23:1-4; then of the passover and feast of unleavened bread, Le 23:5-8; to which is annexed the sheaf of the firstfruits, Le 23:9-14; after that of the feast of weeks or pentecost, Le 23:15-22; and of the feast of trumpets, Le 23:23-25; and of the day of atonement, Le 23:26-32; and of the feast of tabernacles, Le 23:33-44.
