For this reason, since the day we heard about you,1 we have not stopped praying for you2 and asking God to fill you with the knowledge of his will3 through all spiritual wisdom and understanding.410
And we pray this in order that you may live a life worthy5 of the Lord and may please him6 in every way: bearing fruit in every good work, growing in the knowledge of God,711
being strengthened with all power8 according to his glorious might so that you may have great endurance and patience,9 and joyfully
giving thanks to the Father,10 who has qualified youa to share in the inheritance11 of the saints in the kingdom of light.1213
For he has rescued us from the dominion of darkness13 and brought us into the kingdom14 of the Son he loves,1514
in whom we have redemption,b16 the forgiveness of sins.17
He is the image18 of the invisible God,19 the firstborn20 over all creation.
For by him all things were created:21 things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities;22 all things were created by him and for him.2317
He is before all things,24 and in him all things hold together.
And he is the head25 of the body, the church;26 he is the beginning and the firstborn27 from among the dead,28 so that in everything he might have the supremacy.
For God was pleased29 to have all his fullness30 dwell in him,
and through him to reconcile31 to himself all things, whether things on earth or things in heaven,32 by making peace33 through his blood,34 shed on the cross.
Once you were alienated from God and were enemies35 in your minds36 because ofc your evil behavior.
But now he has reconciled37 you by Christ's physical body38 through death to present you39 holy in his sight, without blemish and free from accusation40--
if you continue41 in your faith, established42 and firm, not moved from the hope43 held out in the gospel. This is the gospel that you heard and that has been proclaimed to every creature under heaven,44 and of which I, Paul, have become a servant.45
