CEB 1 The LORD is my shepherd. I lack nothing. NRS 1 The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want. CEB 2 He lets me rest in grassy meadows; he leads me to restful waters; NRS 2 He makes me lie down in green pastures; he leads me beside still waters; CEB 3 he keeps me alive. He guides me in proper paths for the sake of his good name. NRS 3 he restores my soul. He leads me in right paths for his name's sake. CEB 4 Even when I walk through the darkest valley, I fear no danger because you are with me. Your rod and your staff— they protect me. NRS 4 Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I fear no evil; for you are with me; your rod and your staff— they comfort me CEB 5 You set a table for me right in front of my enemies. You bathe my head in oil; my cup is so full it spills over! NRS 5 You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; you anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows. CEB 6 Yes, goodness and faithful love will pursue me all the days of my life, and I will live in the LORD's house as long as I live. NRS 6 Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life, and I shall dwell in the house of the Lord my whole life long.
