Psalm 130

DBY 1 {A Song of degrees.} Out of the depths do I call upon thee, Jehovah. NIV 1 Out of the depths I cry to you, O LORD; DBY 2 Lord, hear my voice; let thine ears be attentive to the voice of my supplication. NIV 2 O Lord, hear my voice. Let your ears be attentive to my cry for mercy. DBY 3 If thou, Jah, shouldest mark iniquities, Lord, who shall stand? NIV 3 If you, O LORD, kept a record of sins, O Lord, who could stand? DBY 4 But there is forgiveness with thee, that thou mayest be feared. NIV 4 But with you there is forgiveness; therefore you are feared. DBY 5 I wait for Jehovah; my soul doth wait, and in his word do I hope. NIV 5 I wait for the LORD, my soul waits, and in his word I put my hope. DBY 6 My soul [waiteth] for the Lord more than the watchers [wait] for the morning, [more than] the watchers for the morning. NIV 6 My soul waits for the Lord more than watchmen wait for the morning, more than watchmen wait for the morning. DBY 7 Let Israel hope in Jehovah, because with Jehovah there is loving-kindness, and with him is plenteous redemption; NIV 7 O Israel, put your hope in the LORD, for with the LORD is unfailing love and with him is full redemption. DBY 8 And he will redeem Israel from all his iniquities. NIV 8 He himself will redeem Israel from all their sins.
