Psalm 25

ASV 1 Unto thee, O Jehovah, do I lift up my soul. NIV 1 To you, O LORD, I lift up my soul; ASV 2 O my God, in thee have I trusted, Let me not be put to shame; Let not mine enemies triumph over me. NIV 2 in you I trust, O my God. Do not let me be put to shame, nor let my enemies triumph over me. ASV 3 Yea, none that wait for thee shall be put to shame: They shall be put to shame that deal treacherously without cause. NIV 3 No one whose hope is in you will ever be put to shame, but they will be put to shame who are treacherous without excuse. ASV 4 Show me thy ways, O Jehovah; Teach me thy paths. NIV 4 Show me your ways, O LORD, teach me your paths; ASV 5 Guide me in thy truth, and teach me; For thou art the God of my salvation; For thee do I wait all the day. NIV 5 guide me in your truth and teach me, for you are God my Savior, and my hope is in you all day long. ASV 6 Remember, O Jehovah, thy tender mercies and thy lovingkindness; For they have been ever of old. NIV 6 Remember, O LORD, your great mercy and love, for they are from of old. ASV 7 Remember not the sins of my youth, nor my transgressions: According to thy lovingkindness remember thou me, For thy goodness' sake, O Jehovah. NIV 7 Remember not the sins of my youth and my rebellious ways; according to your love remember me, for you are good, O LORD. ASV 8 Good and upright is Jehovah: Therefore will he instruct sinners in the way. NIV 8 Good and upright is the LORD; therefore he instructs sinners in his ways. ASV 9 The meek will he guide in justice; And the meek will he teach his way. NIV 9 He guides the humble in what is right and teaches them his way. ASV 10 All the paths of Jehovah are lovingkindness and truth Unto such as keep his covenant and his testimonies. NIV 10 All the ways of the LORD are loving and faithful for those who keep the demands of his covenant. ASV 11 For thy name's sake, O Jehovah, Pardon mine iniquity, for it is great. NIV 11 For the sake of your name, O LORD, forgive my iniquity, though it is great. ASV 12 What man is he that feareth Jehovah? Him shall he instruct in the way that he shall choose. NIV 12 Who, then, is the man that fears the LORD? He will instruct him in the way chosen for him. ASV 13 His soul shall dwell at ease; And his seed shall inherit the land. NIV 13 He will spend his days in prosperity, and his descendants will inherit the land. ASV 14 The friendship of Jehovah is with them that fear him; And he will show them his covenant. NIV 14 The LORD confides in those who fear him; he makes his covenant known to them. ASV 15 Mine eyes are ever toward Jehovah; For he will pluck my feet out of the net. NIV 15 My eyes are ever on the LORD, for only he will release my feet from the snare. ASV 16 Turn thee unto me, and have mercy upon me; For I am desolate and afflicted. NIV 16 Turn to me and be gracious to me, for I am lonely and afflicted. ASV 17 The troubles of my heart are enlarged: Oh bring thou me out of my distresses. NIV 17 The troubles of my heart have multiplied; free me from my anguish. ASV 18 Consider mine affliction and my travail; And forgive all my sins. NIV 18 Look upon my affliction and my distress and take away all my sins. ASV 19 Consider mine enemies, for they are many; And they hate me with cruel hatred. NIV 19 See how my enemies have increased and how fiercely they hate me! ASV 20 Oh keep my soul, and deliver me: Let me not be put to shame, for I take refuge in thee. NIV 20 Guard my life and rescue me; let me not be put to shame, for I take refuge in you. ASV 21 Let integrity and uprightness preserve me, For I wait for thee. NIV 21 May integrity and uprightness protect me, because my hope is in you. ASV 22 Redeem Israel, O God, Out all of his troubles. NIV 22 Redeem Israel, O God, from all their troubles!
