ThenJesussaid unto them,Mytimeis not yetcome: butyourtimeisalwayready.

The worldcannot*hateyou;butme it hateth, becauseItestifyofit,that the worksthereofareevil.

Goyeupuntothisfeast:Igonotupyetuntothisfeast;formytimeis not yet full come.

When he had said these words unto them, he abode still inGalilee.

Butwhenhisbrethren were gone up, thenwenthealsoupunto the feast,notopenly,but as it wereinsecret.

Then the Jewssoughthimat the feast,andsaid, Whereishe?

And there wasmuchmurmuringamong the peopleconcerninghim: for somesaid*, He is a good man:others*said, Nay;but he deceiveth the people.

Howbeit no manspakeopenlyofhimforfear of the Jews.

Nowabout the midst of the feastJesus went upinto the temple,andtaught.

And the Jewsmarvelled, saying, Howknoweth this manletters,[a]havingneverlearned?

Jesusansweredthem,andsaid, Mydoctrineisnotmine,but his that sentme.
17
If any manwilldohiswill, he shall knowof the doctrine,whether it beofGod,or whether Ispeakofmyself.
18
He that speakethofhimselfseeketh his ownglory:but he that seeketh his glory that senthim, the sameistrue,andnounrighteousnessisinhim.

DidnotMosesgiveyou the law,and yet noneofyoukeepeth the law?Why go ye about to killme?

The peopleansweredandsaid, Thou hast a devil:who goeth about to killthee?

Jesusansweredandsaid unto them,I have doneonework,andyeallmarvel.

Mosestherefore*gave unto youcircumcision;* (not because it isofMoses,butof the fathers;) andyeon the sabbath daycircumcise a man.

If a manon the sabbath dayreceivecircumcision,that[b] the law of Mosesshouldnot be broken; are ye angry at me,because I have made a man every whitwholeon the sabbath day?

Judgenot according to the appearance,butjudgerighteousjudgment.
25
Thensaidsomeof them of Jerusalem,Isnotthis he, whom they seek to kill?
26
But,lo, he speakethboldly,and they saynothing unto him.Do the rulersknowindeed*thatthisis the veryChrist?

Howbeit we know this manwhence he is: butwhenChristcometh, no manknowethwhence he is.
28
ThencriedJesusin the temple as he taught*, saying, Ye both know me, and ye knowwhence I am: and I amnotcomeofmyself,but he that sentmeistrue,whomyeknownot.

ButIknowhim:for I amfromhim, and he hath sentme.
