my God.1 Mya soul is downcast within me; therefore I will remember2 you from the land of the Jordan,3 the heights of Hermon4--from Mount Mizar.

Deep calls to deep5 in the roar of your waterfalls; all your waves and breakers have swept over me.6

By day the LORD directs his love,7 at night8 his song9 is with me-- a prayer to the God of my life.10

I say to God my Rock,11 "Why have you forgotten12 me? Why must I go about mourning,13 oppressed14 by the enemy?"15

My bones suffer mortal agony16 as my foes taunt17 me, saying to me all day long, "Where is your God?"18

Why are you downcast, O my soul? Why so disturbed within me? Put your hope in God, for I will yet praise him, my Savior and my God.19
