Ezequiel 37:1-14

1 La mano del SEÑOR vino sobre mí, y me sacó en el Espíritu del SEÑOR, y me puso en medio del valle que estaba lleno de huesos.

2 Y El me hizo pasar en derredor de ellos, y he aquí, eran muchísimos sobre la superficie del valle; y he aquí, estaban muy secos.

3 Y El me dijo: Hijo de hombre, ¿vivirán estos huesos? Y yo respondí: Señor DIOS, tú lo sabes.

4 Entonces me dijo: Profetiza sobre estos huesos, y diles: "Huesos secos, oíd la palabra del SEÑOR.

5 "Así dice el Señor DIOS a estos huesos: 'He aquí, haré entrar en vosotros espíritu , y viviréis.

6 'Y pondré tendones sobre vosotros, haré crecer carne sobre vosotros, os cubriré de piel y pondré espíritu en vosotros, y viviréis; y sabréis que yo soy el SEÑOR.'"

7 Profeticé, pues, como me fue mandado; y mientras yo profetizaba hubo un ruido, y luego un estremecimiento, y los huesos se juntaron cada hueso con su hueso.

8 Y miré, y he aquí, había tendones sobre ellos, creció la carne y la piel los cubrió, pero no había espíritu en ellos.

9 Entonces El me dijo: Profetiza al espíritu, profetiza, hijo de hombre, y di al espíritu: "Así dice el Señor DIOS: 'Ven de los cuatro vientos, oh espíritu, y sopla sobre estos muertos, y vivirán.'"

10 Y profeticé como El me había ordenado, y el espíritu entró en ellos, y vivieron y se pusieron en pie, un enorme e inmenso ejército.

11 Entonces El me dijo: Hijo de hombre, estos huesos son toda la casa de Israel; he aquí, ellos dicen: "Nuestros huesos se han secado, y nuestra esperanza ha perecido. Estamos completamente destruidos."

12 Por tanto, profetiza, y diles: "Así dice el Señor DIOS: 'He aquí, abriré vuestros sepulcros y os haré subir de vuestros sepulcros, pueblo mío, y os llevaré a la tierra de Israel.

13 'Y sabréis que yo soy el SEÑOR, cuando abra vuestros sepulcros y os haga subir de vuestros sepulcros, pueblo mío.

14 'Pondré mi Espíritu en vosotros, y viviréis, y os pondré en vuestra tierra. Entonces sabréis que yo, el SEÑOR, he hablado y lo he hecho'declara el SEÑOR."

Ezequiel 37:1-14 Meaning and Commentary

INTRODUCTION TO EZEKIEL 37

This chapter contains a prophecy of the Jews' return from captivity to their own land; of the union of the each tribes with one another; and of the glorious kingdom of Christ among them. Their restoration is represented by a vision of dry bones made alive; the place in which they were; the condition they were in; and the manner in which they were made to live, are described, Eze 37:1-10, the explication and application of this vision to the Jews, Eze 37:11-14, their union is signified by a sign or emblem of two sticks, which became one in the hand of the prophet, Eze 37:15-17, the meaning of this is shown, Eze 37:18-20, then follow promises of their return to their own land, in express words; of their being one kingdom, under one King, Christ, the antitype of David, of their sanctification; of their covenant interest in God, made manifest to them; and of his presence, and dwelling among them, Eze 37:21-28.
