Jonás 3:5-9

5 Y los habitantes de N铆nive creyeron en Dios, y proclamaron ayuno y se vistieron de cilicio desde el mayor hasta el menor de ellos.
6 Cuando lleg贸 la noticia al rey de N铆nive, se levant贸 de su trono, se despoj贸 de su manto, se cubri贸 de cilicio y se sent贸 sobre ceniza.
7 E hizo proclamar y anunciar en N铆nive, por decreto del rey y de sus grandes, diciendo: Ni hombre ni bestia, ni buey ni oveja prueben cosa alguna; no pasten ni beban agua,
8 sino c煤branse de cilicio hombres y animales, y clamen a Dios con fuerza, y vu茅lvase cada uno de su mal camino y de la violencia que hay en sus manos.
9 隆Qui茅n sabe! Quiz谩 Dios se vuelva, se arrepienta y aparte el ardor de su ira, y no perezcamos.

This chapter gives an account of the renewal of Jonah's message to Nineveh, and of his faithful execution of it, Jon 3:1-4; and of the fruit and effect of it, the conversion of the Ninevites, their faith in God, repentance of their sins, and reformation from them, Jon 3:5-9; and of God's approbation thereof, by revoking the sentence he had pronounced upon them, Jon 3:10.
