1 John 3:2-3

2 Beloved, we are ¹God’s children ²now, and what we will be ³has not yet appeared; but we know that ⁴when he appears^{[a] 5}we shall be like him, because ⁶we shall see him as he is.

3 And everyone who ⁷thus hopes in him ⁸purifies himself as he is pure.
