Luke 22:39-43

Jesus Prays on the Mount of Olives

39 ¹And he came out and went, ²as was his custom, to ³the Mount of Olives, and the disciples followed him.

40 ⁴And when he came to ⁵the place, he said to them, ⁶“Pray that you may not ⁷enter into temptation. ”

41 And he withdrew from them about a stone’s throw, and ⁸knelt down and prayed,

42 saying, ⁹“Father, if you are willing, remove ¹⁰this cup from me. ¹¹Nevertheless, not my will, but yours, be done. ”

43 And there appeared to him ¹²an angel from heaven, strengthening him.
