And he enteredagaininto the synagogue;and there was a manthere which had a witheredhand.

And they watchedhim,whether he would healhim on the sabbath day;that they might accusehim.

And he saith unto the man which had the witheredhand,Standforth*.[a]

And he saith unto them,Is it lawful to do good on the sabbath days,or to do evil? to savelife,or to kill?But they held their peace.

And when he had looked round about on themwithanger, being grievedfor the hardness[b] of theirhearts, he saith unto the man,Stretch forththinehand.And he stretched it out: andhishand was restoredwholeas the other.

And the Pharisees went forth, and straightwaytookcounselwith the Herodiansagainsthim,how they might destroyhim.

ButJesus withdrew himselfwithhisdisciplesto the sea:and a greatmultitudefromGalileefollowedhim,andfromJudaea,

AndfromJerusalem,andfromIdumaea,and from beyondJordan;and they aboutTyreandSidon, a greatmultitude, when they had heard what great things he did, cameuntohim.

And he spake to hisdisciples,that a small ship should wait onhimbecause of the multitude,lest they should thronghim.

For he had healedmany; insomuch that they pressed uponhim for totouchhim, as many ashadplagues.

Anduncleanspirits,when they sawhim, fell down beforehim,andcried, saying*, Thouart the Son of God.
