1 John 2:3-6

3 ¹By this we know that we have come to ²know Him, if we ³keep His commandments.

4 The one who says, "⁴I have come to ⁵know Him," and does not keep His commandments, is a ⁶liar, and ⁷the truth is not in him;

5 but whoever * ⁸keeps His word, in him the ⁹love of God has truly been perfected. ¹⁰By this we know that we are in Him:

6 the one who says he ¹¹abides in Him ¹²ought himself to walk in the same manner as He walked.
