Éxodo 30:11-16

11 Dinero para el tabernáculo
Entonces el Señor
le dijo a Moisés:

12 «Cada vez que hagas un censo del pueblo de Israel, cada hombre contado tendrá que pagar al Señor
un rescate por sí mismo. Así ninguna plaga herirá a los israelitas cuando los cuentes.

13 Cada persona contada tendrá que dar una pequeña pieza de plata como ofrenda sagrada al Señor
. (Este pago es de medio siclo,
según el siclo del santuario, que equivale a veinte geras).

14 Todos los que hayan cumplido veinte años deben dar esa ofrenda sagrada al Señor
.

15 Cuando presenten esta ofrenda al Señor
para purificar sus vidas y hacerse justos ante él,
el rico no dará más del monto establecido y el pobre no dará menos.

16 Recibe el dinero del rescate de los israelitas y úsalo para cuidar el tabernáculo.
Esto hará que el Señor
se acuerde de los israelitas y servirá para purificarles su vida».

INTRODUCTION TO EXODUS 30

This chapter treats of the altar of incense, its form and use, Ex 30:1-10 of the ransom of the Israelites, with the half shekel when numbered, Ex 30:11-16 of the laver for the priests to wash their hands and feet at before service, Ex 30:17-21 of the anointing oil, the ingredients of it, and what was to be done with it, Ex 30:22-33, and of the perfume, the composition and use of it, Ex 30:34-38.
