RHE

NRS

1 And the Lord said to him: Go in, thou and all thy house, into the ark: for thee I have seen just before me in this generation.
1 Then the Lord said to Noah, "Go into the ark, you and all your household, for I have seen that you alone are righteous before me in this generation.
2 Of all clean beasts take seven and seven, the male and the female.
2 Take with you seven pairs of all clean animals, the male and its mate; and a pair of the animals that are not clean, the male and its mate;
3 But of the beasts that are unclean two and two, the male and the female. Of the fowls also of the air seven and seven, the male and the female: that seed may be saved upon the face of the whole earth.
3 and seven pairs of the birds of the air also, male and female, to keep their kind alive on the face of all the earth.
4 For yet a while, and after seven days, I will rain upon the earth forty days and forty nights: and I will destroy every substance that I have made, from the face of the earth.
4 For in seven days I will send rain on the earth for forty days and forty nights; and every living thing that I have made I will blot out from the face of the ground."
5 And Noe did all things which the Lord had commanded him.
5 And Noah did all that the Lord had commanded him.
6 And he was six hundred years old, when the waters of the flood overflowed the earth.
6 Noah was six hundred years old when the flood of waters came on the earth.
7 And Noe went in and his sons, his wife and the wives of his sons with him into the ark, because of the waters of the flood.
7 And Noah with his sons and his wife and his sons' wives went into the ark to escape the waters of the flood.
8 And of beasts clean and unclean, and of fowls, and of every thing that moveth upon the earth,
8 Of clean animals, and of animals that are not clean, and of birds, and of everything that creeps on the ground,
9 Two and two went in to Noe into the ark, male and female, as the Lord had commanded Noe.
9 two and two, male and female, went into the ark with Noah, as God had commanded Noah.
10 And after the seven days were passed, the waters of the flood overflowed the earth.
10 And after seven days the waters of the flood came on the earth.
11 In the six hundredth year of the life of Noe, in the second month, in the seventeenth day of the month, all the fountains of the great deep were broken up, and the floodgates of heaven were opened:
11 In the six hundredth year of Noah's life, in the second month, on the seventeenth day of the month, on that day all the fountains of the great deep burst forth, and the windows of the heavens were opened.
12 And the rain fell upon the earth forty days and forty nights.
12 The rain fell on the earth forty days and forty nights.
13 In the selfsame day Noe, and Sem, and Cham, and Japheth, his sons: his wife, and the three wives of his sons with them, went into the ark.
13 On the very same day Noah with his sons, Shem and Ham and Japheth, and Noah's wife and the three wives of his sons entered the ark,
14 They and every beast according to its kind, and all the cattle in their kind, and every thing that moveth upon the earth, according to its kind, and every fowl according to its kind, all birds, and all that fly,
14 they and every wild animal of every kind, and all domestic animals of every kind, and every creeping thing that creeps on the earth, and every bird of every kind—every bird, every winged creature.
15 Went in to Noe into the ark, two and two of all flesh, wherein was the breath of life.
15 They went into the ark with Noah, two and two of all flesh in which there was the breath of life.
16 And they that went in, went in male and female of all flesh, as God had commanded him: and the Lord shut him in on the outside.
16 And those that entered, male and female of all flesh, went in as God had commanded him; and the Lord shut him in.
17 And the flood was forty days upon the earth: and the waters increased, and lifted up the ark on high from the earth.
17 The flood continued forty days on the earth; and the waters increased, and bore up the ark, and it rose high above the earth.
18 For they overflowed exceedingly: and filled all on the face of the earth: and the ark was carried upon the waters.
18 The waters swelled and increased greatly on the earth; and the ark floated on the face of the waters.
19 And the waters prevailed beyond measure upon the earth: and all the high mountains under the whole heaven were covered.
19 The waters swelled so mightily on the earth that all the high mountains under the whole heaven were covered;
20 The water was fifteen cubits higher than the mountains which it covered.
20 the waters swelled above the mountains, covering them fifteen cubits deep.
21 And all flesh was destroyed that moved upon the earth, both of fowl and of cattle, and of beasts, and of all creeping things that creep upon the earth: and all men.
21 And all flesh died that moved on the earth, birds, domestic animals, wild animals, all swarming creatures that swarm on the earth, and all human beings;
22 And all things wherein there is the breath of life on the earth, died.
22 everything on dry land in whose nostrils was the breath of life died.
23 And he destroyed all the substance that was upon the earth, from man even to beast, and the creeping things and fowls of the air: and they were destroyed from the earth: and Noe only remained, and they that were with him in the ark.
23 He blotted out every living thing that was on the face of the ground, human beings and animals and creeping things and birds of the air; they were blotted out from the earth. Only Noah was left, and those that were with him in the ark.
24 And the waters prevailed upon the earth a hundred and fifty days.
24 And the waters swelled on the earth for one hundred fifty days.
