1 Bildad the Shuchi said,

Then Bildad the Shuhite replied:
2 "Dominion and fear belong to him; he makes peace in his high places.

“Dominion and awe belong to God; he establishes order in the heights of heaven.
3 Can his armies be numbered? On whom does his light not shine?

Can his forces be numbered? On whom does his light not rise?
4 How then can humans be righteous with God? How can those born of women be clean?

How then can a mortal be righteous before God? How can one born of woman be pure?
5 Why, before him even the moon lacks brightness, and the stars themselves are not pure.

If even the moon is not bright and the stars are not pure in his eyes,
6 How much less a human, who is merely a maggot, a mortal, who is only a worm?!"
