1 Éliashib, le grand sacrificateur, se leva donc avec ses frères, les sacrificateurs, et ils bâtirent la porte des brebis, qu'ils consacrèrent, et ils en posèrent les battants; ils la consacrèrent jusqu'à la tour de Méa, jusqu'à la tour de Hananéel.

Then Elyashiv the Kohen HaGadol rose up with his achim the Kohanim, and they rebuilt the Sheep Gate; they set it apart as kodesh, and set up the daletot of it; even unto the Migdal HaMe’ah they set it apart as kodesh, unto the Migdal Chanan’el.
2 Et les gens de Jérico bâtirent à côté de lui, et Zaccur, fils d'Imri, bâtit à côté d'eux.

And next unto him the Anshei Yericho built. And next to them built Zakkur ben Imri.
3 Les enfants de Sénaa bâtirent la porte des poissons; ils en firent la charpente, et en posèrent les battants, les verrous et les barres.

But the Fish Gate did the Bnei Hasnaah build, who also laid the beams thereof, and set up the daletot thereof, the locks , and the bars thereof.
4 A côté d'eux Mérémoth, fils d'Urie, fils de Kots, travailla aux réparations. Puis, à leurs côtés, travailla Méshullam, fils de Bérékia, fils de Méshézabéel. A côté d'eux, travailla Tsadok, fils de Baana.

And next unto them Meremot ben Uriyah ben Hakotz made repairs. And next unto them Meshullam ben Berekhyah ben Meshezav’el made repairs. And next unto them Tzadok ben Ba’ana did so.
5 A côte d'eux, travaillèrent les Thékoïtes; mais les principaux d'entre eux ne se rangèrent point au service de leur seigneur.

And next unto them the Tekoim built; but their Nobles put not their necks to the Avodas adoneihem.
6 Jojada, fils de Paséach, et Méshullam, fils de Bésodia, réparèrent la vieille porte; ils en firent la charpente, et en posèrent les battants, les verrous et les barres.

Moreover Yoyada ben Paseach and Meshullam ben Besodyah made repairs on the Sha’ar HaYeshanah; they laid the beams thereof, and set up the daletot, and the locks, and the bars thereof.
7 A leur côté travaillèrent Mélatia, le Gabaonite, Jadon le Méronothite, les gens de Gabaon et de Mitspa ressortissant au siège du gouverneur de ce côté du fleuve.

And next unto them repaired Melatyah the Giveoni, and Yadon the Meronoti, the men of Giveon, and of Mitzpah, upto the seat of the governor of Beyond the River [Euphrates].
8 A côté d'eux travailla Uzziel, fils de Harhaja, d'entre les orfèvres, et à côté Hanania, d'entre les parfumeurs. Ils laissèrent la partie de Jérusalem qui est jusqu'à la muraille large.

Next unto him repaired Uzziel ben Charhayah, one of the goldsmiths. Next unto him also repaired Chananyah son of the perfumers, and they fortified Yerushalayim upto the Broad Wall.
9 A côté d'eux, Réphaja, fils de Hur, chef d'un demi-quartier de Jérusalem, travailla aux réparations.

And next unto them repaired Refayah ben Chur, the ruler of half the district of Yerushalayim.
10 Puis à leur côté Jédaja, fils de Harumaph, travailla vis-à-vis de sa maison. Et à son côté travailla Hattush, fils de Hashabnia.

And next unto them repaired Yedayah ben Charumaph, opposite his bais. And next unto him repaired Chattush ben Chashavneyah.
11 Malkija, fils de Harim, et Hashub, fils de Pachath-Moab, réparèrent une seconde section, et la tour des fours.

Malkiyah ben Charim, and Chashuv ben Pachat-Moav, repaired the other section, and the Migdal HaTannurim.
12 A côté d'eux, Shallum, fils de Hallochèsh, chef d'un demi-quartier de Jérusalem, travailla aussi, ainsi que ses filles.

And next unto him repaired Shallum ben Halochesh, the ruler of half the district of Yerushalayim, he and his banot.
13 Hanun et les habitants de Zanoach réparèrent la porte de la vallée; ils la bâtirent, et en posèrent les battants, les verrous et les barres, et firent mille coudées de muraille, jusqu'à la porte du fumier.

The Valley Gate repaired Chanun, and the inhabitants of Zanoach; they rebuilt it, and set up the daletot thereof, the locks thereof, and the bars thereof, and 1,000 cubits of Chomah unto the Dung Gate.
14 Malkija, fils de Récab, chef du quartier de Beth-Hakkérem, répara la porte du fumier; il la bâtit, et en posa les battants, les verrous et les barres.

But the Dung Gate did Malkiyah ben Rechav, the ruler of the district of Beit Hakerem repair; he rebuilt it, and set up the daletot thereof, the locks thereof, and the bars thereof.
15 Shallun, fils de Col-Hozé, chef du quartier de Mitspa, répara la porte de la fontaine; il la bâtit, la couvrit, en posa les battants, les verrous et les barres, et travailla aussi au mur de l'étang de Shélach, près du jardin du roi, et jusqu'aux degrés qui descendent de la cité de David.

But the Fountain Gate did Shallun ben Kol-Chozeh, ruler of Mitzpah district repair; he rebuilt it, covered it, set up the daletot thereof, the locks thereof, and the bars thereof, and the chomah of the Pool of Shelach [Shiloah] by the Gan HaMelech, and upto the stairs that go down from the Ir Dovid.
16 Après lui, Néhémie, fils d'Azbuc, chef du demi-quartier de Bethtsur, répara jusque vis-à-vis des tombeaux de David, jusqu'à l'étang construit, et jusqu'à la maison des hommes vaillants.

After him repaired Nechemyah ben Azbuk, the ruler of half the district of Beit-tzur, unto the place opposite the Kivrei Dovid, and to the artificial pool, and unto the Bais HaGiborim.
17 Après lui travaillèrent aux réparations les Lévites: Réhum, fils de Bani; à son côté travailla Hashabia, chef du demi-quartier de Kéïla, pour son quartier.

After him repaired the Levi’im, Rechum ben Bani. Next unto him repaired Chashavyah, the ruler of half the district of Keilah, in his district.
18 Après lui, leurs frères travaillèrent: Bavaï, fils de Hénadad, chef d'un demi-quartier de Kéïla;

After him repaired their achim, Bavai ben Chenadad, ruler half the Keilah district.
19 Et à son côté Ézer, fils de Jéshua, chef de Mitspa, répara une seconde section, vis-à-vis de la montée de l'arsenal, à l'angle.

And next to him repaired Ezer ben Yeshua, the ruler of Mitzpah, another section fronting the ascent to the armory at the Corner.
20 Après lui, Baruc, fils de Zabbaï, répara avec ardeur une seconde section, depuis l'angle jusqu'à l'entrée de la maison d'Éliashib, le grand sacrificateur.

After him Baruch ben Zakkai zealously repaired the other section, from the Corner unto the petach Bais Elyashiv the Kohen HaGadol.
21 Après lui, Mérémoth, fils d'Urie, fils de Kots, répara une seconde section, depuis l'entrée de la maison d'Éliashib jusqu'à l'extrémité de la maison d'Éliashib.

After him repaired Meremot ben Uriyah ben Hakotz another section, from the entrance of the Bais Elyashiv even to the end of the Bais Elyashiv.
22 Après lui travaillèrent les sacrificateurs de la contrée environnante.

And after him repaired the Kohanim, who were the men of the surrounding area.
23 Après eux, Benjamin et Hashub travaillèrent vis-à-vis de leur maison. Après eux, Azaria, fils de Maaséja, fils d'Anania, travailla auprès de sa maison.

After him repaired Binyamin and Chashuv opposite their bais. After him repaired Azaryah ben Maaseiyah ben Ananyah etzel (beside, Prov 8:30) his bais.
24 Après lui, Binnuï, fils de Hénadad, répara une seconde section, depuis la maison d'Azaria jusqu'à l'angle et jusqu'au coin.

After him repaired Binnui ben Chenadad another section, from the bais Azaryah unto the Corner, even unto the Pinnah.
25 Palal, fils d'Uzaï, travailla vis-à-vis de l'angle et de la tour qui sort de la maison supérieure du roi, qui est sur la cour de la prison. Après lui, Pédaja, fils de Parosh.

Palal ben Uzai, opposite the Corner, and the Migdal which projects from upper part of the Bais HaMelech, that was by the khatzer (court) of the Guard. After him Pedayah ben Parosh
26 Et les Néthiniens, qui habitaient sur la colline, réparèrent vers l'orient, jusque vis-à-vis de la porte des eaux et de la tour en saillie.

And the Netenim (servants of the Bais Hamikdash) dwelt on Ophel, made repairs unto the place opposite the Water Gate on the east, and the migdal that projects out.
27 Après eux, les Thékoïtes réparèrent une seconde section, vis-à-vis de la grande tour en saillie jusqu'à la muraille de la colline.

After them the Tekoim repaired another section, opposite the great migdal that projects out, even unto the Chomat Ophel.
28 Au-dessus de la porte des chevaux, les sacrificateurs travaillèrent, chacun vis-à-vis de sa maison.

From above the Horse Gate repaired the Kohanim, every one opposite his bais.
29 Après eux, Tsadok, fils d'Immer, travailla vis-à-vis de sa maison. Après lui, travailla Shémaja, fils de Shécania, gardien de la porte orientale.

After them repaired Tzadok ben Immer opposite his bais. After him repaired also Shemayah ben Shechanyah, the Shomer of the East Gate.
30 Après lui, Hanania, fils de Shélémia, et Hanun, le sixième fils de Tsalaph, réparèrent une seconde section. Après eux, Méshullam, fils de Bérékia, travailla vis-à-vis de sa chambre.

After him repaired Chananyah ben Shelemyah, and Chanun the sixth son of Tzalaph, another section. After him repaired Meshullam ben Berekhyah opposite his living quarters.
31 Après lui, Malkija, fils de l'orfèvre, travailla jusqu'à la maison des Néthiniens et des marchands, vis-à-vis de la porte de Miphkad, et jusqu'à la montée du coin.

After him repaired Malkiyah one of the goldsmiths unto the place of the Netenim, and of the merchants, opposite the Sha’ar HaMifkad, and to the aliyyat hapinnah.
32 Et les orfèvres et les marchands travaillèrent entre la montée du coin et la porte des brebis.

And between the aliyyat hapinnah unto the Sheep Gate repaired the goldsmiths and the merchants.
