Psalm 24

CEB 1 The earth is the LORD's and everything in it, the world and its inhabitants too. NRS 1 The earth is the Lord's and all that is in it, the world, and those who live in it; CEB 2 Because God is the one who established it on the seas; God set it firmly on the waters. NRS 2 for he has founded it on the seas, and established it on the rivers. CEB 3 Who can ascend the LORD's mountain? Who can stand in his holy sanctuary? NRS 3 Who shall ascend the hill of the Lord? And who shall stand in his holy place? CEB 4 Only the one with clean hands and a pure heart; the one who hasn't made false promises, the one who hasn't sworn dishonestly. NRS 4 Those who have clean hands and pure hearts, who do not lift up their souls to what is false, and do not swear deceitfully. CEB 5 That kind of person receives blessings from the LORD and righteousness from the God who saves. NRS 5 They will receive blessing from the Lord, and vindication from the God of their salvation. CEB 6 And that's how things are with the generation that seeks him— that seeks the face of Jacob's God. Selah NRS 6 Such is the company of those who seek him, who seek the face of the God of Jacob. (Selah) CEB 7 Mighty gates: lift up your heads! Ancient doors: rise up high! So the glorious king can enter! NRS 7 Lift up your heads, O gates! and be lifted up, O ancient doors! that the King of glory may come in. CEB 8 Who is this glorious king? The LORD—strong and powerful! The LORD—powerful in battle! NRS 8 Who is the King of glory? The Lord, strong and mighty, the Lord, mighty in battle. CEB 9 Mighty gates: lift up your heads! Ancient doors: rise up high! So the glorious king can enter! NRS 9 Lift up your heads, O gates! and be lifted up, O ancient doors! that the King of glory may come in. CEB 10 Who is this glorious king? The LORD of heavenly forces— he is the glorious king! Selah NRS 10 Who is this King of glory? The Lord of hosts, he is the King of glory. (Selah)
