Praise the LORD ! Yes, give praise, O servants of the LORD . Praise the name of the LORD !
2 Let the name of the LORD be praised, both now and forevermore.

Blessed be the name of the LORD now and forever.
3 From the rising of the sun to the place where it sets, the name of the LORD is to be praised.

Everywhere—from east to west— praise the name of the LORD .
4 The LORD is exalted over all the nations, his glory above the heavens.

For the LORD is high above the nations; his glory is higher than the heavens.
5 Who is like the LORD our God, the One who sits enthroned on high,

Who can be compared with the LORD our God, who is enthroned on high?
6 who stoops down to look on the heavens and the earth?

He stoops to look down on heaven and on earth.
7 He raises the poor from the dust and lifts the needy from the ash heap;

He lifts the poor from the dust and the needy from the garbage dump.
8 he seats them with princes, with the princes of his people.

He sets them among princes, even the princes of his own people!
9 He settles the childless woman in her home as a happy mother of children. Praise the LORD.

He gives the childless woman a family, making her a happy mother. Praise the LORD !
