KJV 1 Praise ye the LORD. Sing unto the LORD a new song, and his praise in the congregation of saints. NIV 1 Praise the LORD.Sing to the LORD a new song, his praise in the assembly of his faithful people. KJV 2 Let Israel rejoice in him that made him: let the children of Zion be joyful in their King. NIV 2 Let Israel rejoice in their Maker; let the people of Zion be glad in their King. KJV 3 Let them praise his name in the dance: let them sing praises unto him with the timbrel and harp. NIV 3 Let them praise his name with dancing and make music to him with timbrel and harp. KJV 4 For the LORD taketh pleasure in his people: he will beautify the meek with salvation. NIV 4 For the LORD takes delight in his people; he crowns the humble with victory. KJV 5 Let the saints be joyful in glory: let them sing aloud upon their beds. NIV 5 Let his faithful people rejoice in this honor and sing for joy on their beds. KJV 6 Let the high praises of God be in their mouth, and a twoedged sword in their hand; NIV 6 May the praise of God be in their mouths and a double-edged sword in their hands, KJV 7 To execute vengeance upon the heathen, and punishments upon the people; NIV 7 to inflict vengeance on the nations and punishment on the peoples, KJV 8 To bind their kings with chains, and their nobles with fetters of iron; NIV 8 to bind their kings with fetters, their nobles with shackles of iron, KJV 9 To execute upon them the judgment written: this honour have all his saints. Praise ye the LORD. NIV 9 to carry out the sentence written against them— this is the glory of all his faithful people. Praise the LORD.
