1 O clap your hands, all ye people; shout unto God with the voice of triumph.
1 (46-1) <Unto the end, for the sons of Core.> (46-2) O clap your hands, all ye nations: shout unto God with the voice of joy,
2 For the LORD most high is terrible; he is a great King over all the earth.
2 (46-3) For the Lord is high, terrible: a great king over all the earth.
3 He shall subdue the people under us, and the nations under our feet.
3 (46-4) He hath subdued the people under jus; and the nations under our feet.
4 He shall choose our inheritance for us, the excellency of Jacob whom he loved. Selah.
4 (46-5) He hath chosen for us his inheritance, the beauty of Jacob which he hath love.
5 God is gone up with a shout, the LORD with the sound of a trumpet.
5 (46-6) God is ascended with jubilee, and the Lord with the sound of trumpet.
6 Sing praises to God, sing praises: sing praises unto our King, sing praises.
6 (46-7) Sing praises to our God, sing ye: sing praises to our king, sing ye.
7 For God is the King of all the earth: sing ye praises with understanding.
7 (46-8) For God is the king of all the earth: sing ye wisely.
8 God reigneth over the heathen: God sitteth upon the throne of his holiness.
8 (46-9) God shall reign over the nations: God sitteth on his holy throne.
9 The princes of the people are gathered together, even the people of the God of Abraham: for the shields of the earth belong unto God: he is greatly exalted.
9 (46-10) The princes of the people are gathered together, with the God of Abraham: for the strong gods of the earth are exceedingly exalted.
