1 Non point à nous, Éternel, non point à nous, mais à ton nom donne gloire, à cause de ta bonté, à cause de ta vérité.

15 Not unto us, Hashem, not unto us, but unto Thy Shem give kavod, for the sake of Thy chesed, and for Thy emes.

Why should the Goyim say, Where is now their Elohim?
3 Notre Dieu, il est dans les cieux; il fait tout ce qu'il lui plaît.

But Eloheinu is in Shomayim; He hath done whatsoever He hath pleased.
4 Leurs idoles sont de l'argent et de l'or, un ouvrage de mains d'homme.

Their atzabim (idols) are kesef and zahav, the ma’aseh (work) of the hands of adam.
5 Elles ont une bouche et ne parlent pas; elles ont des yeux, et ne voient pas.

Peh (mouth) they have, but they speak not; einayim (eyes) have they, but they see not;
6 Elles ont des oreilles, et n'entendent pas; elles ont un nez et ne sentent pas;

Oznayim (ears) they have, but they hear not; af (nose) have they, but they smell not;
7 Des mains, et ne touchent pas; des pieds, et ne marchent pas; elles ne rendent aucun son de leur gosier.

They have hands, but they handle not; raglayim (feet) have they, but they walk not; neither speak they through their garon (throat).
8 Ceux qui les font, et tous ceux qui s'y confient, leur deviendront semblables.

They that make them will be like them; so is kol asher bote’ach (every one that trusteth) in them.
9 Israël, confie-toi en l'Éternel! Il est leur aide et leur bouclier.

O Yisroel, trust thou in Hashem. He is their ezrah (help) and their mogen.
10 Maison d'Aaron, confiez-vous en l'Éternel! Il est leur aide et leur bouclier.

O Bais Aharon, trust thou in Hashem; He is their ezrah (help) and their mogen.
11 Vous qui craignez l'Éternel, confiez-vous en l'Éternel! Il est leur aide et leur bouclier.

The ones fearing Hashem, trust in Hashem; He is their ezrah (help) and their mogen (shield).
12 L'Éternel s'est souvenu de nous; il bénira, il bénira la maison d'Israël; il bénira la maison d'Aaron.

Hashem hath been mindful of us; Yevarech. Yevarech es Bais Yisroel; Yevarech es Bais Aharon.
13 Il bénira ceux qui craignent l'Éternel, tant les petits que les grands.

Yevarech Yirei Hashem (He will bless those who fear Hashem), the ketanim with the gedolim.
14 L'Éternel vous ajoutera des biens, à vous et à vos enfants.

May Hashem give you increase, upon you and your banim.
15 Vous êtes bénis de l'Éternel, qui a fait les cieux et la terre.

May a barukhah be upon you by Hashem, Oseh Shomayim va’Aretz (Maker of Heaven and Earth).
16 Quant aux cieux, les cieux sont à l'Éternel; mais il a donné la terre aux enfants des hommes.

The heavens, even Shomayim, is Hashem’s, but HaAretz He gave to the Bnei Adam.
17 Les morts ne loueront point l'Éternel, ni tous ceux qui descendent au lieu du silence.

The mesim (dead ones) praise not Hashem, neither do any that descend into Dumah (the silent [place of Sheol]).
18 Mais nous, nous bénirons l'Éternel, dès maintenant et à toujours. Louez l'Éternel!

But we will bless Hashem from this time forth v’ad olam (and to forevermore). Praise Hashem.
