And at the ninthhourJesuscried with a loudvoice,saying, Eloi,Eloi,lamasabachthani?whichis, being interpreted, MyGod,myGod,whyhast thou forsakenme?

And some of them that stood by, when they heard it, said, Behold, he callethElias.

Andoneranandfilled a spungefull of vinegar,and put it on a reed, and gavehim to drink, saying, Let alone; let us seewhetherElias will come to takehimdown.

AndJesuscried with a loudvoice, and gave up the ghost.

And the veil of the temple was rentintwainfrom the topto the bottom.

And when the centurion,whichstoodoveragainsthim,sawthat he so cried out, and gave up the ghost, he said, Trulythismanwas the Son of God.
