In this week’s program, we conclude our journey through Leviticus with a message titled “The Scapegoat,” exploring the Day of Atonement described in Leviticus 16 and God’s provision for dealing with the sin that separated His people from Him.We’ll look at the significance of the two goats, one sacrificed for the people’s sin and the other sent away carrying their guilt. We’ll also see how this powerful picture points forward to Jesus, who became the sacrifice for our sin and bore our guilt, shame, and burdens on the cross. Through the prophet Isaiah and the story of Jesus, we discover how God’s plan was always leading toward reconciliation and new life.
