2 Reyes 3:1-6

1 Y Joram hijo de Acab comenzó a reinar en Samaria sobre Israel el año dieciocho de Josafat rey de Judá; y reinó doce años.

2 E hizo lo malo en ojos del SEÑOR, aunque no como su padre y su madre; porque quitó las estatuas de Baal que su padre había hecho.

3 Mas se allegó a los pecados de Jeroboam, hijo de Nabat, que hizo pecar a Israel; y no se apartó de ellos.

4 Entonces Mesa rey de Moab era pastor, y pagaba al rey de Israel cien mil corderos y cien mil carneros con sus vellones.

5 Mas muerto Acab, el rey de Moab se rebeló contra el rey de Israel.

6 Y salió entonces de Samaria el rey Joram, y reconoció a todo Israel.

INTRODUCTION TO 2 KINGS 3

This chapter gives the character of Jehoram king of Israel, 2Ki 3:1-3, relates the rebellion of the king of Moab against him, 2Ki 3:4,5, the war that he and his allies entered into on that account, 2Ki 3:6-9 the distress the combined army were in for want of water, their application upon this to Elisha, who promised them water, and they had it in a wonderful manner, 2Ki 3:10-20 and the chapter is concluded with the rout of the Moabites, and the barbarity of their king to his eldest son, 2Ki 3:21-27.
