Luke 5:27-32

There are mornings we’re downright determined to go through the day with a smile.  This is the day that the Lord has made; so we will be glad and rejoice in it!  But when trials and troubles pile up, our joyous smile is slowly replaced with sighs of discouragement.  On this edition of Focal Point, Mike Fabarez explains why Christians can face each day with joy, regardless of our circumstances.

Jesus stated that he had come to seek and save lost people and to call sinners to repentance. These statements produced both warm response and bitter reaction - and they still do.

There are some places you won’t typically find Christians.  I mean, what would people say if they saw us at walking down that particular street, or talking to that particular person?  On this edition of Focal Point, Mike Fabarez says that if we follow in the footsteps of Jesus, He may lead us to places and people outside our comfort zone.  And if we’re going to put our reputations on the line, it should be for an eternal reason!

It precedes our words and actions when interacting with others.  It can be the deciding factor of whether we get that job or not.  It’s often the reason we’re part of certain crowds or social groups.  It’s our reputation, and we protectively guard it against anyone who would drag it through the mud.  On this edition of Focal Point, Mike Fabarez says that as followers of Jesus, our reputation may come under attack.  How do we respond?
