Her sensitive heart and sacrifice pleased Jesus, but all Judas could see was wasted oil. In the opening verses of Mark fourteen, we are told of the well-known account of the woman who interrupts a meal attended by Jesus, so that she could pour very expensive oil on His head. Well, some at the table objected. Yet both she and Jesus knew about the cultural significance of this act of worship.
