1 Abraham tooka another wife, whose name was Keturah. 2 She bore him Zimran,1 Jokshan, Medan, Midian,2 Ishbak and Shuah.3 3 Jokshan was the father of Sheba4 and Dedan;5 the descendants of Dedan were the Asshurites, the Letushites and the Leummites. 4 The sons of Midian were Ephah,6 Epher, Hanoch, Abida and Eldaah. All these were descendants of Keturah. 5 Abraham left everything he owned to Isaac.7 6 But while he was still living, he gave gifts to the sons of his concubines8 and sent them away from his son Isaac9 to the land of the east.10 7 Altogether, Abraham lived a hundred and seventy-five years.11 8 Then Abraham breathed his last and died at a good old age,12 an old man and full of years; and he was gathered to his people.13 9 His sons Isaac and Ishmael buried him14 in the cave of Machpelah15 near Mamre,16 in the field of Ephron17 son of Zohar the Hittite,18 10 the field Abraham had bought from the Hittites.b19 There Abraham was buried with his wife Sarah.Scripture quoted by permission.
