1 Shén de líng gǎndòng é dé de érzi Yàsālìyǎ .

2 Tā chūlai yíngjiē Yàsā , duì tā shuō , Yàsā hé Yóudà , Biànyǎmǐn zhòngrén nǎ , yào tīng wǒ shuō , nǐmen ruò shùncóng Yēhéhuá , Yēhéhuá bì yǔ nǐmen tóng zaì . nǐmen ruò xúnqiú tā , jiù bì xún jiàn . nǐmen ruò lí qì tā , tā bì lí qì nǐmen .

3 Yǐsèliè rén bú xìn zhēn shén , méiyǒu xùn huì de jìsī , yĕ méiyǒu lǜfǎ , yǐjing hǎojiǔ le .

4 Dàn tāmen zaì jí nán de shíhou guī xiàng Yēhéhuá Yǐsèliè de shén , xúnqiú tā , tā jiù beì tāmen xún jiàn .

5 Nàshí , chūrù de rén bùdé píngān , liè guó de jūmín dōu zāo dà luàn .

6 Zhè guó gōngjī nà guó , zhè chéng gōngjī nà chéng , hùxiāng pò huaì , yīnwei shén yòng gèyàng zāinàn rǎoluàn tāmen .

7 Xiànzaì nǐmen yào gāngqiáng , búyào shǒu ruǎn , yīn nǐmen suǒ xíng de bì dé3 shǎngcì .

8 Yàsā tīngjian zhè huà hé é dé érzi xiānzhī Yàsālìyǎ de yùyán , jiù zhuàng qǐ dǎn lái , zaì Yóudà , Biànyǎmǐn quán dì , bìng Yǐfǎlián shān dì suǒ duó de gè chéng , jiāng kĕ zēng zhī wù jǐn dōu chúdiào , yòu zaì Yēhéhuá diàn de láng qián chóngxīn xiū zhú Yēhéhuá de tán .

9 Yòu zhāo jù Yóudà , Biànyǎmǐn de zhòngrén , bìng tāmen zhōngjiān jìjū de Yǐfǎlián rén , Mǎnáxī rén , Xīmiǎn rén . yǒu xǔduō Yǐsèliè rén guī jiàng Yàsā , yīn jiàn Yēhéhuá tāde shén yǔ tā tóng zaì .

10 Yàsā shí wǔ nián sān yuè , tāmen dōu jùjí zaì Yēlùsǎlĕng .

11 Dāng rì tāmen cóng suǒ qǔ de lǔ wù zhōng , jiāng niú qī bǎi zhī , yáng qī qiā zhī xiàn gĕi Yēhéhuá .

12 Tāmen jiù lì yuē , yào jìnxīn jìn xìng dì xúnqiú Yēhéhuá tāmen lièzǔ de shén .

13 Fán bù xúnqiú Yēhéhuá Yǐsèliè shén de , wúlùn dà xiǎo , nánnǚ , bì beì zhìsǐ .

14 Tāmen jiù dàshēng huānhū , chuīhào chuī jiǎo , xiàng Yēhéhuá qǐshì .

15 Yóudà zhòngrén wèi suǒ qǐ de shì huānxǐ . yīn tāmen shì jìnxīn qǐshì , jǐn yì xúnqiú Yēhéhuá , Yēhéhuá jiù beì tāmen xún jiàn , qiĕ cì tāmen sì jìng píngān .

16 Yàsā wáng biǎn le tā zǔ mǔ Mǎjiā taì hòu de wèi , yīn tā zào le kĕ zēng de ǒuxiàng yà shĕ là . Yàsā kǎn xià tāde ǒuxiàng , dǎo dé fĕnsuì , shāo zaì Jílúnxī bian .

17 Zhǐshì qiū tán hái méiyǒu cóng Yǐsèliè zhōng feì qù , ránér Yàsā de xīn yìshēng chéngshí .

18 Yàsā jiāng tā fù suǒ fēnbié wéi shèng , yǔ zìjǐ suǒ fēnbié wèi shèng de jīn yín hé qìmǐn dōu fèng dào shén de diàn lǐ .

19 Cóng zhè shí zhídào Yàsā sān shí wǔ nián , dōu méiyǒu zhēng zhàn de shì .

Lìdaìzhìxià 15 Commentary

Chapter 15

The people make a solemn covenant with God.

- The work of complete reformation appeared so difficult, that Asa had not courage to attempt it, till assured of Divine assistance and acceptance. He and his people offered sacrifices to God; thanksgiving for the favours they had received, and supplication for further favours. Prayers and praises are now our spiritual sacrifices. The people, of their own will, covenanted to seek the Lord, each for himself, with earnestness. What is religion but seeking God, inquiring after him, applying to him upon all occasions? We make nothing of our religion, if we do not make heart-work of it; God will have all the heart, or none. Our devotedness to God our Saviour, should be avowed and shown in the most solemn and public manner. What is done in hypocrisy is a mere drudgery.

Asa returning from the battle, and with the spoil of the enemy, was met by a prophet of the Lord, who encouraged him to go on with the work of reformation, promising the presence and help of God with him, 2Ch 15:1-7, which inspired him with fresh courage, and he went about the work with great alacrity; and having offered sacrifices, he and his people entered into a solemn covenant with the Lord, to serve him, 2Ch 15:8-15 upon which he destroyed his mother's idol, brought the dedicated things into the house of God, and the effect of this was peace for a long time, 2Ch 15:16-19.
