23 Instead, you have exalted yourself against the Lord of heaven. The vessels from His house were brought to you, and as you and your nobles, wives, and concubines drank wine from them, you praised the gods made of silver and gold, bronze, iron, wood, and stone, which do not see or hear or understand. But you have not glorified the God who holds your life-breath in His hand and who controls the whole course of your life.

23 Look at you, setting yourself up in competition against the Master of heaven! You had the sacred chalices from his Temple brought into your drunken party so that you and your nobles, your wives and your concubines, could drink from them. You used the sacred chalices to toast your gods of silver and gold, bronze and iron, wood and stone - blind, deaf, and imbecile gods. But you treat with contempt the living God who holds your entire life from birth to death in his hand.

23 but you have exalted yourself against the Lord of heaven; and they have brought the vessels of His house before you, and you and your nobles, your wives and your concubines have been drinking wine from them; and you have praised the gods of silver and gold, of bronze, iron, wood and stone, which do not see, hear or understand. But the God in whose hand are your life-breath and all your ways, you have not glorified.

23 For you have proudly defied the Lord of heaven and have had these cups from his Temple brought before you. You and your nobles and your wives and concubines have been drinking wine from them while praising gods of silver, gold, bronze, iron, wood, and stone—gods that neither see nor hear nor know anything at all. But you have not honored the God who gives you the breath of life and controls your destiny!

23 You have exalted yourself against the Lord of heaven! The vessels of his temple have been brought in before you, and you and your lords, your wives and your concubines have been drinking wine from them. You have praised the gods of silver and gold, of bronze, iron, wood, and stone, which do not see or hear or know; but the God in whose power is your very breath, and to whom belong all your ways, you have not honored.

23 porém te elevaste contra o Senhor do céu; pois foram trazidos a tua presença os vasos da casa dele, e tu, os teus grandes, as tua mulheres e as tuas concubinas, bebestes vinho neles; além disso, deste louvores aos deuses de prata, de ouro, de bronze, de ferro, de madeira e de pedra, que não vêem, não ouvem, nem sabem; mas a Deus, em cuja mão está a tua vida, e de quem são todos os teus caminhos, a ele não glorificaste.:

23 But you have been lifting yourself up against the Lord of heaven, and they have put the vessels of his house before you, and you and your lords, your wives and your women, have taken wine in them; and you have given praise to gods of silver and gold, of brass and iron and wood and stone, who are without the power of seeing or hearing, and without knowledge: and to the God in whose hand your breath is, and whose are all your ways, you have not given glory;

23 Instead, you have exalted yourself against the Lord of heaven by having them bring you the vessels from his house; and you and your lords, your wives and your concubines drank wine from them; then you offered praise to your gods of silver, gold, bronze, iron, wood and stone, which can't see, hear or know anything. Meanwhile, God, who holds your very breath in his hands, and to whom belongs everything you do, you have not glorified.

23 Tu t'es élevé contre le Seigneur des cieux; les vases de sa maison ont été apportés devant toi, et vous vous en êtes servis pour boire du vin, toi et tes grands, tes femmes et tes concubines; tu as loué les dieux d'argent, d'or, d'airain, de fer, de bois et de pierre, qui ne voient point, qui n'entendent point, et qui ne savent rien, et tu n'as pas glorifié le Dieu qui a dans sa main ton souffle et toutes tes voies.

23 sondern hast dich wider den HERRN des Himmels erhoben, und die Gefäße seines Hauses hat man vor dich bringen müssen, und du, deine Gewaltigen, deine Weiber und deine Kebsweiber habt daraus getrunken, dazu die silbernen, goldenen, ehernen, eisernen, hölzernen und steinernen Götter gelobt, die weder sehen noch hören noch fühlen; den Gott aber, der deinen Odem und alle deine Wege in seiner Hand hat, hast du nicht geehrt.

23 And thou has been exalted against the Lord God of heaven; and they have brought before thee the vessels of his house, and thou, and thy nobles, and thy mistresses, and thy concubines, have drunk wine out of them; and thou has praised the gods of gold, and silver, and brass, and iron, and wood, and stone, which see not, and which hear not, and know not: and the God in whose hand are thy breath, and all thy ways has thou not glorified.

23 Instead, you have set yourself against the Lord of heaven. You ordered the drinking cups from the Temple of the Lord to be brought to you. Then you and your royal guests, your wives, and your slave women drank wine from them. You praised the gods of silver, gold, bronze, iron, wood, and stone that are not really gods; they cannot see or hear or understand anything. You did not honor God, who has power over your life and everything you do.

23 You have taken your stand against the Lord of heaven. You had your servants bring cups from his temple to you. You and your nobles drank wine from them. So did your wives and concubines. You praised your gods. The statues of those gods are made out of silver, gold, bronze, iron, wood or stone. They can't see or hear or understand anything. But you didn't honor the God who holds in his hand your very life and everything you do.

23 Todo lo contrario, usted desafió con soberbia al Señor del cielo y mandó traer ante usted estas copas que pertenecían al templo. Usted, sus nobles, sus esposas y sus concubinas estuvieron bebiendo vino en estas copas mientras rendían culto a dioses de plata, oro, bronce, hierro, madera y piedra, dioses que no pueden ver ni oír, ni saben absolutamente nada. ¡Pero usted no honró al Dios que le da el aliento de vida y controla su destino!

23 Por el contrario, se ha opuesto al Dios del cielo mandando traer de su templo las copas para que beban en ellas usted y sus nobles, sus esposas y concubinas. Usted se ha deshecho en alabanzas a los dioses de oro, plata, hierro, madera y piedra, dioses que no pueden ver ni oír ni entender; en cambio, no ha honrado al Dios en cuyas manos se hallan la vida y las acciones de Su Majestad.

23 Ao contrário, te exaltaste acima do Senhor dos céus. Mandaste trazer as taças do templo do Senhor para que nelas bebessem tu, os teus nobres, as tuas mulheres e as tuas concubinas. Louvaste os deuses de prata, de ouro, de bronze, de ferro, de madeira e de pedra, que não podem ver nem ouvir nem entender. 23 But hast lifted up thyself against Hashem of Shomayim; and they have brought the vessels of His Beis Hamikdash before thee, and thou, and thy nobles, thy wives, and thy concubines, have drunk wine in them; and thou hast praised the g-ds of silver, and gold, of bronze, iron, wood, and stone, which see not, nor hear, nor know; and the G-d in Whose hand thy breath is, and Whose are all thy ways, hast thou not glorified.
