14 1I have given them your word, and 2the world has hated them 3because they are not of the world, 4just as I am not of the world.
15 I 5do not ask that you 6take them out of the world, but that you 7keep them from 8the evil one. [a]
16 9They are not of the world, just as I am not of the world.
17 10Sanctify them[b] in the truth; 11your word is truth.
18 12As you sent me into the world, so I have sent them into the world.
19 And 13for their sake 14I consecrate myself, [c] that they also 15may be sanctified[d] in truth.
