And if you do good to those who do good to you, what benefit is that to you? For even sinners do the same.

2lend to those from whom you expect to receive, what credit is that to you? Even sinners lend to sinners, to get back the same amount.

3love your enemies, and do good, and lend, expecting nothing in return, and your reward will be great, and
4you will be sons of
5the Most High, for
6he is kind to the ungrateful and the evil.

7Be merciful, even as
8your Father is merciful.
Judging Others
37 9 10“Judge not, and you will not be judged; condemn not, and you will not be condemned;
11forgive, and you will be forgiven;

12give, and it will be given to you. Good measure, pressed down, shaken together, running over, will be put
13into your lap. For
14with the measure you use it will be measured back to you. ”

He also told them a parable:
15“Can a blind man lead a blind man? Will they not both fall into a pit?

16A disciple is not above his teacher, but everyone when he is
17fully trained will be like his teacher.

18Why do you see the speck that is in your brother’s eye, but
19do not notice the log that is in your own eye?

How can you say to your brother, ‘Brother, let me take out the speck that is in your eye, ’ when you yourself do not see the log that is in your own eye? You hypocrite, first take the log out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to take out the speck that is in your brother’s eye.
