Jesus Begins His Ministry

Now when he heard that 1John had been arrested, 2he withdrew into Galilee.
And leaving 3Nazareth he went and lived in 4Capernaum by 5the sea, in the territory of 6Zebulun and Naphtali,
7so that what was spoken by the prophet Isaiah might be fulfilled:
8“The land of Zebulun and the land of Naphtali, the way of the sea, beyond the Jordan, Galilee of the Gentiles—
9the people dwelling in darkness have seen a great light, and for those dwelling in the region and 10shadow of death, on them a light has dawned. ”
11From that time Jesus began to preach, saying, 12“Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand. ”
