He said, "Behold, I have undertaken to speak to the Lord. Suppose twenty are found there." He answered, "For the sake of twenty I will not destroy it."

And he said, Behold now, I have taken upon me to speak unto the Lord: Peradventure there shall be twenty found there. And he said, I will not destroy it for twenty's sake.

And he said, "Now behold, I have ventured to speak to the Lord ; suppose twenty are found there?" And He said, "I will not destroy it on account of the twenty."

Abraham said, “Now that I have been so bold as to speak to the Lord, what if only twenty can be found there?” He said, “For the sake of twenty, I will not destroy it.”

And he said, "Indeed now, I have taken it upon myself to speak to the Lord: Suppose twenty should be found there?" So He said, "I will not destroy it for the sake of twenty."

Then Abraham said, “Since I have dared to speak to the Lord, let me continue—suppose there are only twenty?” And the LORD replied, “Then I will not destroy it for the sake of the twenty.”

He said, "Let me take it upon myself to speak to the Lord. Suppose twenty are found there." He answered, "For the sake of twenty I will not destroy it."

Tornou Abraão: Eis que outra vez me a atrevi a falar ao Senhor. Se porventura se acharem ali vinte? Respondeu-lhe: Por causa dos vinte não a destruirei.

Y Abraham dijo: He aquí, ahora me he atrevido a hablar al Señor; tal vez se hallen allí veinte. Y El respondió: No la destruiré por consideración a los veinte.

He said, "Here now, I have taken it upon myself to speak to Adonai. What if twenty are found there?" He said, "For the sake of the twenty I won't destroy it."

Then Abraham said, "I have been brave to speak to the Lord. But what if there are twenty good people in the city?" He answered, "If I find twenty there, I will not destroy the city."

He said, "Let me take it upon myself to speak to the Lord. Suppose twenty are found there." He answered, "For the sake of twenty I will not destroy it."

Entonces Abraham dijo: —Dado que me he atrevido a hablar al Señor, permíteme continuar. ¿Supongamos que hay solamente veinte? El Señor le contestó: —Entonces no la destruiré por causa de esos veinte.

Abraham siguió insistiendo:—Sé que he sido muy atrevido en hablarle así a mi SEÑOR, pero tal vez se encuentren solo veinte.—Por esos veinte no la destruiré.

Prosseguiu Abraão: “Agora que já fui tão ousado falando ao Senhor, pergunto: E se apenas vinte forem encontrados ali?”Ele respondeu: “Por amor aos vinte não a destruirei”.

And he saith, `Lo, I pray thee, I have willed to speak unto the Lord: peradventure there are found there twenty?' and He saith, `I do not destroy [it], because of the twenty.'
