Isaiah 3:10-20 (New International Version)

10 Tell the righteous it will be well1 with them, for they will enjoy the fruit of their deeds.2 11 Woe to the wicked!3 Disaster4 is upon them! They will be paid back5 for what their hands have done.6 12 Youths7 oppress my people, women rule over them. O my people, your guides lead you astray;8 they turn you from the path. 13 The LORD takes his place in court;9 he rises to judge10 the people. 14 The LORD enters into judgment11 against the elders and leaders of his people: "It is you who have ruined my vineyard; the plunder12 from the poor13 is in your houses. 15 What do you mean by crushing my people14 and grinding15 the faces of the poor?"16 declares the Lord, the LORD Almighty.17 16 The LORD says, "The women of Zion18 are haughty, walking along with outstretched necks,19 flirting with their eyes, tripping along with mincing steps, with ornaments jingling on their ankles. 17 Therefore the Lord will bring sores on the heads of the women of Zion; the LORD will make their scalps bald.20" 18 In that day21 the Lord will snatch away their finery: the bangles and headbands and crescent necklaces,22 19 the earrings and bracelets23 and veils,24 20 the headdresses25 and ankle chains and sashes, the perfume bottles and charms,
