Made Alive in Christ

1 And you awere 1dead bin your trespasses and sins, 2 in which you 2formerly walked according to the ccourse of 3this world, according to 4the prince of the power of the air, of the spirit that is now working in 5the sons of disobedience. 3 Among them we too all 6formerly lived in 7the lusts of our flesh, dindulging the desires of the flesh and of the emind, and were 8by nature 9children of wrath, 10even as the rest. 4 But God, being 11rich in mercy, because of 12His great love with which He loved us, 5 even when we were 13dead fin our transgressions, made us alive together gwith Christ (14by grace you have been saved ), 6 and 15raised us up with Him, and 16seated us with Him in 17the heavenly places in 18Christ Jesus, 7 so that in the ages to come He might show the surpassing 19riches of His grace in 20kindness toward us in Christ Jesus. 8 For 21by grace you have been saved 22through faith; and hthat not of yourselves, it is 23the gift of God; 9 24not as a result of works, so that 25no one may boast. 10 For we are His workmanship, 26created in 27Christ Jesus for 28good works, which God 29prepared beforehand so that we would 30walk in them. 11 Therefore remember that 31formerly 32you, the Gentiles in the flesh, who are called "33 Uncircumcision" by the so-called "34Circumcision," which is performed in the flesh by human hands - 12 remember that you were at that time separate from Christ, i35excluded from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers to 36the covenants of promise, having 37no hope and 38without God in the world. 13 But now in 39Christ Jesus you who 40formerly were 41far off jhave 42been brought near k43by the blood of Christ. 14 For He Himself is 44our peace, 45who made both groups into one and broke down the lbarrier of the dividing wall, 15 mby 46abolishing in His flesh the enmity, which is 47the Law of commandments contained in ordinances, so that in Himself He might n48make the two into 49one new man, thus establishing 50peace, 16 and might 51reconcile them both in 52one body to God through the cross, oby it having 53put to death the enmity. 17 AND 54HE CAME AND PREACHED 55PEACE TO YOU WHO WERE 56FAR AWAY, AND PEACE TO THOSE WHO WERE 57NEAR; 18 for through Him we both have 58our access in 59one Spirit to 60the Father. 19 So then you are no longer 61strangers and aliens, but you are 62fellow citizens with the psaints, and are of 63God's household, 20 having been 64built on 65the foundation of 66the apostles and prophets, 67Christ Jesus Himself being the 68corner stone, 21 69in whom the whole building, being fitted together, is growing into 70a holy qtemple in the Lord, 22 in whom you also are being 71built together into a 72dwelling of God in the Spirit.
